Biography

Facing an allegation of criminal wrongdoing is one of the most stressful situations someone can experience. Paul compassionately listens to his clients to provide transparent, practical advice on navigating the process to protect their best interests.

Paul obtained his law degree from the Peter A. Allard School of Law in Vancouver. He served as the Executive Editor of the U.B.C. Law Review. During his final year, he assisted Canada’s representative on the United Nations Human Rights Committee, providing legal opinions on allegations of nations’ breaches of international law. He competed on UBC’s team for the inaugural, Canada-wide Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Law Moot, winning the award for Top Law School and Best Factum.

Following law school, he completed his articles under the mentorship of a prominent criminal defence lawyer, where he gained extensive experience arguing for the exclusion of evidence under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Paul represents clients facing a broad range of charges, including, among others, assault, sexual assault, robbery, possession of stolen property, drug offences, and murder.

In 2024, Paul moved his practice into the Melville Law Chambers at 1111 Melville Street in Downtown Vancouver.
